If you’ve become a fan of the Pages Word Processor (which is part of the iWork ‘08 Software Suite) like I have, you might have run into the issue of trying to save your document in Word format.
Usually, an option like that would appear in the Save As screen…
However, with Pages, it’s a little different.

Almost all of the time, I run my Macbook Pro in closed book mode. Once I’m done using my Mac, I like to manually put it to sleep — right then and there.

Sure, you can click the Apple in the upper left corner, and then slick Sleep, or you can use this wonderful three key combination…

If I can avoid popping over to the mouse at any time, I’m all for it.
One of the things we all do on our Mac’s is load programs, I’ve found this keyboard shortcut saves tons of time (especially with how fast Leopard is!)

Hold Command and press Space Bar.
Spotlight will appear will in the upper right corner…
